    Costa Brava Rum & Coffee Punch "cremat"

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup Spanish brandy, warmed
    • 1 1/2 cup medium bodied rum, warmed (Mt Gay Eclipse or Bacardi Anejo)
    • 3 Tbsp superfine sugar
    • 2 sticks cinnamon
    • peel of 1 lemon
    • 4 cups strong black coffee, hot

    Instructions

    Serving Size: 6. Mix all ingredients except the coffee in a heat proof serving bowl. Then carefully ignite the mixture. (It will flare up.) Let the mixture burn, stirring occasionally (or continually, if you have the patience) until the alcohol has burned off sufficiently for the flame to die out. Very slowly, add the coffee, stirring well. Serve at once.
