Our Favorite Chocolate Eclair Cake

Made with all of the most luscious and delicious ingredients in the sweets aisle of the grocery store, there's no way this recipe for Our Favorite Chocolate Eclair Cake could be anything but incredible. Cool Whip, cream cheese, vanilla pudding and more make up this dreamy dessert, so you can see why it's one of our favorites of all time. If you've never prepared an eclair cake recipe before, try this chocolate version that will have your family raving. It's easy to make and beyond yummy!

Chilling Time: 1 hr

  • 1 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1 cup flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 packages instant or regular vanilla pudding
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (12-ounce) container Cool Whip
  • Hershey's chocolate sauce
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. Boil 1 cup water plus 1 1/2 sticks margarine for 1 minute. Remove from heat, add flour. Mix well.
  3. Add 4 eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Spread batter into greased jelly roll pan and pat down. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes. Cool.
  5. Prepare pudding according to directions on the box.
  6. Add softened cream cheese. Spread on top of crust.
  7. Top with Cool Whip. Drizzle top with chocolate.
  8. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
