Creamy And Delicious Oreo Explosion Donuts

"I don’t know about you, but I love donuts! I also love Oreos! Oreo explosion donuts put two of my favorite things together making a dense, delicious masterpiece I can eat at any point in the day! The topping is made from white chocolate and crushed Oreos. They are cakey and the best part about these donuts is that they are homemade! One of my favorite family traditions growing up was getting donuts on Saturday mornings that we could eat before our Saturday chores. I would have loved to have been able to make Oreo explosion donuts every weekend! It’s a tradition I want to start with my own family. There is so much family bonding that can come from spending time in the kitchen. That time is even better spent when you’re making something as delicious as these donuts! "

Ingredients

  • 1 cup All purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 6 tablespoons Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 3 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 7 Oreos - roughly chopped for batter
  • 6 Oreos - chopped into small crumbs for the topping
  • 8-ounce White melting chocolate
  1. Preheat the oven to 325 °F.

  2. Prepare a donut pan with cooking spray.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sugar, flour, salt, and baking powder.

  4. In a small bowl, whisk the milk, eggs, vanilla, and oil. Add the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.

  5. Roughly chop 7 Oreo’s and fold the cookies into the batter, filling each well about ⅔ full.

  6. Bake for 10 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for 3-4 minutes, then remove them and allow them to continue to cool on a wire rack.

  7. Using 6 more Oreo’s finely chopped using a blender to make Oreo crumbs for the donut topping.

  8. Follow the instructions on the candy melts to melt the white chocolate. Dip the donut tops into the white chocolate, then sprinkle the tops with Oreo crumbs, press slightly so the crumbs stick.

  9. Allow the chocolate to harden and enjoy!

  10. NOTE: One of the greatest things about Oreos is that there are so many different flavors! The original Oreo is used in this recipe, but there are no rules against changing things up! You could use mint Oreos, birthday cake Oreos, or so many others!
