Cherry Clafoutis

"Looking for a light, elegant dessert that captures the taste of summer? This classic Cherry Clafoutis is one of the simplest and most delicious ways to enjoy fresh cherries in season. With its creamy, custard-like texture and juicy bursts of sweet cherries, this rustic French dessert is a hidden gem among summer cherry recipes. Whether you’ve just picked a bowl of cherries at your local orchard, found a good deal at the farmers market, or have a backyard tree bursting with fruit, this recipe is a must-try. If you’re a fan of easy summer desserts that highlight seasonal fruit, you’ll fall in love with this old-world favorite. I got the idea to make this wonderful dessert from the movie Julie and Julia, I absolutely love that movie! I have to say I had never pitted a cherry before and for some reason I imagined it to be harder than it was. Of course I chose to buy a cherry pitter to make the job easier, I’m all about making things as easy as possible. As much as I love cooking and baking I also love to be outside in the summer. Cherry clafoutis is one of those easy summer desserts that never goes out of style. It looks impressive, tastes amazing, and is the perfect end to a summer meal like Grilled Pork Chops, or Oven Baked Chicken. Plus, it’s light enough to enjoy even on the hottest of days. "
