I love Brussel sprouts in any way shape or form. Adding bacon and chicken in this Slow Cooker Brussel Sprouts with Bacon and Chicken recipe is genius. The Brussel sprouts being featured in the recipe makes it extra special to me. I love how the simple ingredients used combine for a hardy dinner. I added potatoes, just to complete the meal, and served it with a tossed green salad.

Im on the fence when it comes to Brussel sprouts. I will eat them but I guess it depends on how they are cooked as to whether I like them or not. This recipe Im sure I will like. I love apple cider and I love bacon. Im not sure about the maple syrup but I wont know until I try it, right?

My wife and I both love Brussel sprouts and we'll happily consume a bowl of them steamed with some butter. This is a great recipe and the writer is quite correct in saying that the chicken could be dispensed with and just serve it as a side dish. I would be inclined to use some boneless chicken breast in the recipe, with a slight adjustment to the cooking time. I had way too much fried chicken in my youth, and I prefer avoiding dealing with chicken bones when I can.
