  • 2 pounds stew beef, cut into cubes
  • 6 carrots, cut in pieces
  • 4 onions, quartered
  • 1 cup celery, in pieces
  • 4 potatoes, quartered
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 3 tablespoons minute tapioca
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon thyme


  1. Place all ingredients in a large slow cooker, cover, and cook on high for 5 hours, or until meat is cooked though and vegetables are tender.
