I have seen these mason jar concoctions in recipe books and in magazines and I am always excited about making these as gifts for the neighbors. As of today, I have yet to get it done. The ingredient list if for a single jar so I guess this recipe is just as good as any for a test run.

Good Idea, Rnbowgrl. I like that thought. These are great for gifts but it would be nice to put back one for yourself to use for later. If you have one of those food-savers, you can seal your mason jar that way.

This is such a wonderful way to save time when your in the mood for something sweet and really don't feel like measuring ingredients and cleaning up the mess afterwards. I'm wondering what the shelf life would be if I were to make up several batches to save for a rainy day. Maybe storing in the freezer would be best?
