Easy Rubik's Cube Cake
Easy Rubiks Cube Cake

"This cake was born out of the want to make an easy Rubik’s Cube Cake. The challenge was to come up with something edible and square that I could frost that would hold the square shape. I thought of many different ideas. When I thought of the Little Debbie cakes, I realized that I would have to put two of them together to get a square. I actually ended up liking that even better because that means that there is a layer of cream frosting the same color as the square when the cake is cut."

NotesYou can make the sides and top smooth if you want to. I liked the drizzled look that happened naturally over the Little Debbie Creme filled cakes.

Whoa this looks like a cake from a baking show! Definitely one that stands out )

How cute! One of our granddaughters is fascinated with the Rubik's Cube (as am I, come to think of it) and this is a delightful presentation for what basically are a variety of petit fours. The idea of using the Little Debbie cakes is very clever and makes this easy for anyone to put together. I can see something like this (made from scratch) being a challenge on the Great British Baking Show. This would make a very nice birthday or party cake.
