Make-Ahead Pizza Meat Loaves

Here's a go-to recipe when you need to plan ahead to get dinner on the table really fast. You can prepare these Make-Ahead Pizza Meat Loaves up to 3 days in advance and when you're ready for dinner, just heat them in the skillet. You can't lose with the delicious combination of meat loaf and pizza, so whip up this easy meatloaf recipe from Campbell's Kitchen for dinner tonight!

Ingredients

  • 24 ounces Prego® Traditional Italian Sauce or Roasted Garlic Parmesan Italian Sauce
  • 1 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1 1/2 cup Pepperidge Farm® Herb Seasoned Stuffing
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (about 1/2 cup)
  • 1/4 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crushed
  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese, cut into 6 pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  2. Mix 3/4 cup of the sauce, beef, stuffing, eggs, onion, pepper and oregano thoroughly and shape firmly into 6 loaves, placing 1 piece of cheese in the center of each loaf. Place the loaves in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.

  3. Bake at 400°F. for 30 minutes or until the meat loaves are cooked through. Cool them slightly. Wrap them and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Cover and refrigerate the remaining pasta sauce.

  4. Place the meat loaves and remaining pasta sauce in a 12-inch skillet. Cover and heat over medium heat, until they're heated through.

Pizza meatloaf? Now this is a recipe that has me wanting to run out to the grocery store for all the stuff right now. I want to make this for dinner tomorrow because these pizza loaves sound so amazing. I can't believe you made a pizza meatloaf. That is a crazy fun idea.
