Bacon Baked Beans

With bacon and Worcestershire sauce, these bacon baked beans deliver a kick of flavor. Great as a party dish or a meal for the family. These beans are one of our favorite summer picnic recipes.

Notes

Microwave Instructions:



  1. Cook on high for five to six minutes.

     

  2. Stir and top with bacon, then continue to cook for five to six more minutes.

Cooking Time1 hr 45 min

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon
  • 3 tablespoons drippings
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cans (16-ounce) pork and beans, in tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mustard, prepared

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.
     
  2. Cook bacon until crisp.
     
  3. Remove bacon, reserving about three tablespoons drippings in skillet.
     
  4. Drain and crumble bacon; set aside.
     
  5. Cook chopped onion in reserved drippings till tender.
     
  6. Stir in two cans pork and beans in tomato sauce, brown sugar, catsup, Worcestershire sauce,and prepared mustard.
     
  7. Turn into a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
     
  8. Bake, uncovered for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours.
