Sunny Layered Pineapple Squares

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups graham wafers, finely ground
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cup icing sugar
  • 2 unbeaten eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 pint cream, whipped
  • 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
     
  2. Mix together two cups ground graham wafers and 1/2 cup melted butter. Press mixture into an 8x12-inch pan and bake for approximately 15 minutes. Allow to cool.
     
  3. Mix 1/2 cup butter, icing sugar, eggs and salt and beat until fluffy. Spread over baked wafers.
     
  4. Combine whipped cream and pineapple and spread over last mixture.
     
  5. Spread 1/4 cup ground graham wafers or chopped nuts over last layer as topping.
     
  6. Leave in a cold part of the fridge for 3 to 4 hours.

 

Note: Will keep for three to four days.

I do not think you should publish arecipe which is unsafe for consumption. Raw eggs are risky and especially so for the very young and elderly. My advice is to bypass this recipe for the sake of your health and family.
