Bold Chex Miix
"A batch of homemade Chex Mix coated in a bold and buttery seasoning is an ideal snack. Great for road trips or back to school. It’s an old fashioned snack that never goes out of style. Traditional Chex mix is pretty good, but nothing compared to this recipe for oven baked Bold Chex Mix. Once you’ve made your own, you’ll never buy the pre-made version. It’s our go-to snack that’s a fan favorite at Butter & Baggage at all times of the year. Our most popular snack for the past year, while working from home, has been a party mix recipe made with Chex cereal and our favorite additions. I’m sure it comes as no surprise that my recipe for Chex mix has a bit more butter than the original Chex mix recipe, and by a bit, I mean a lot! The butter soaks into each Chex cereal square as it bakes making it crisp and delicious. Along with the butter, it has a substantial amount of Worcestershire sauce, similar to the Bold Chex mix you see in the stores."
More Ideas for Your Best Party Menu
When planning a party menu, it's important to offer a variety of snacks and treats to please all of your guests. In addition to the tasty Bold Chex Mix, we recommend incorporating a few other crowd-pleasing options.
To start, consider adding a classic cheese and charcuterie board to your spread. This customizable option allows guests to mix and match their favorite cheeses, meats, fruits, and nuts. Another easy addition is a tray of loaded potato skins. These bite-sized delights are typically filled with cheese, bacon, and sour cream, making them a savory hit with any party crowd.
If you're looking to add a healthier option to your menu, consider serving a selection of vegetable crudites with creamy dips. This fresh and colorful option is a great way to balance out some of the heavier snacks on your table.
For those with a sweet tooth, don't forget to include a decadent dessert option. A platter of assorted mini cupcakes or homemade cookies is sure to be a hit with guests of all ages.
By incorporating a mix of salty, savory, and sweet options, you can create a party menu that will satisfy all of your guests' cravings. Happy hosting!
