Baked Spaghetti Recipe

Recipes like this remind us of busy weeknights at home. Mom or Dad would make a dinner like this while everyone arrived home from work or school. While the food cooked we could talk about the day, finish up homework, give the pets their dinner, or just relax a bit. And when dinner came out of the oven, it didn't take any convincing to get everyone to the table.

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly oil a 9×13 baking dish or coat with nonstick spray.

  2. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta according to package instructions; drain well.

  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add ground beef and garlic and cook until beef has browned, about 3-5 minutes, making sure to crumble the beef as it cooks; season with salt and pepper, to taste. Drain excess fat.

  4. Stir in tomato sauce, basil, oregano, parsley, spinach, and red pepper flakes; season with salt and pepper, to taste.

  5. In a small bowl, whisk together cream cheese and sour cream.

  6. Add pasta to the prepared baking dish and layer with cream cheese and beef mixture; sprinkle with cheeses.

  7. Place into oven and bake until bubbly and heated through, about 15-20 minutes.

  8. Serve immediately, garnished with parsley, if desired.

Pasta dishes are such a great way of feeding a large-ish family and this Spaghetti Casserole is the perfect dish to keep everyones tummy full and happy. At first I though "that looks like a whole lot of ingredients" but it is surprisingly simple to make. If your family likes pasta dishes I assure you they will LOVE this one!

Omg, yum...now this is my kind of casserole and I can't wait to try all of that cheesy deliciousness. I don't think I've had baked spaghetti since I was a kid, but I remember gobbling it up and loving every bit of it. This is a much different version than from way back then but I'm not complaining one bit and will gladly appreciate the spinach and red pepper flakes with all of that cheese. The only thing I think I'd do differently is to maybe add some Italian sausage to the sauce...everything else is perfect!

If you want to take spaghetti and step it up a notch, this Baked Spaghetti Casserole recipe is the way to go. Full of flavor filled Italian spices, and rich creamy cheeses, this casserole will delight your family. It is easy to prepare, and I love the option of making it ahead of time and freezing it for a quick weeknight meal later on. This recipe is sure to please both the cook and those eating it.

Super cheesy and creamy, just like restaurant pasta. I would eat this anytime!

This isn't your typical baked spaghetti. Sometimes baked pasta can be kind of bland, but this dish was really flavorful and had a slight spiciness to it. It'd make a great meal for the whole family!

I'm not typically a fan of pasta casseroles, but this one was DELICIOUS! I highly recommend it :)
