Spaghetti Meat Sauce


  • 1 pound ground meat
  • 3/4 cup chopped onions
  • 1 whole clove garlic, minced
  • 1 (1 pound 13 ounce)can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1/2 salt
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • 2 Tbsp parsley


Cook beef, onions and garlic over high heat, stirring until meat browns. Drain off fat. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, bay leaves, basil, salt and chili powder. Cover and simmer 30 minutes, adding water if sauce becomes too thick. Stir in 2 Tbsp. of parsley.
