From the very young to the very old, everybody loves applesauce. This quick and easy applesauce recipe will have you making quality applesauce in no time. Thanks to the microwave, you can have great homemade applesauce in an instant.

Cooking Time: 15 min

Ingredients
  • Apples
  • Cinnamon
  • Nutmeg
  • Ginger
  • Allspice
  • Sugar
Instructions
  1. Cut the fruit in half (or in quarters), place it in a 2 or 3 quart microwaveable corningware casserole, cover it, and microwave on high for 12 to 15 minutes. You might want to check for doneness periodically.

  2. When the apples are soft, let cool a bit, and then force through a ricer into a bowl.

  3. Sweeten with sugar to taste, depending on the apple variety, and season to taste with cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and allspice.
