Corned Beef and Cabbage

This traditional Irish meal is hands down the best dish to make for your St. Patrick's Day dinner. Here's a tried and true Corned Beef and Cabbage recipe that puts a slight twist on this classic meal. Instead of the traditional boiled corned beef and cabbage, this dish features corned beef baked with sweet honey mustard and cabbage sauteed with caramelized onions. This recipe is sure to add extra flavor to your St. Patrick's dinner. If you prefer to keep it traditional, however, the recipe also provides instructions on how to adapt it to the boiling method.

Well it looks like I am going to break from tradition this year for St.Patrick's Day. Even thought this recipe offers the traditional method, I find myself being drawn to the baked, honey mustard, brown sugar coated version. The flavors seem to be perfect, and then the addition of sauteed cabbage with onions and garlic really completes it for me. I may boil some potatoes and carrots in the seasoning packet from the corned beef for just a touch of tradition.
