Hibiscus Lemongrass Tea (for Two)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups very hot water (180F)
  • 2 heaping Tablespoons dried hibiscus flowers (about 8)
  • 1 heaping Tablespoon rosehips
  • 1 heaping teaspoon dried, shredded lemon grass

Instructions

Steep about five minutes (longer if you like, but no more than 15 minutes or it gets bitter). Sweeten if you like, but I like it as is. Sometimes in cold weather I put a couple of cloves and a little piece of cinnamon bark in it. It is good iced too. Note: Use the upper part of lemon grass, dried and shredded, for a wonderful lemony tea. Be careful harvesting; the leaf margins are razor-sharp. It dries easily and keeps well.
