Strawberry Glazed Donuts

"This strawberry glazed donut is a perfect baked bite of strawberry heaven with a tangy cream cheese icing. You won’t be able to get enough of this strawberry delight! The donut base is so fluffy and light. Adding the strawberries just makes it even more moist and flavorful! They’re great on their own, but the cream cheese glaze takes this donut to a 10/10. Ingredients: For Strawberry Donut 1 cup flour ⅓ cup sugar ½ tsp salt 1 tsp baking powder ⅓ cup milk 1 egg 1 tbsp butter, melted ⅓ cup strawberries, finely chopped For Glaze 2 oz cream cheese, softened 1 tsp melted butter 4 strawberries, pureed or mashed Pinch of salt 1 ½ cups powdered sugar To make this strawberry glazed donut recipe, start by preheating your oven to 425 degrees and spraying your donut pan with nonstick cooking spray. Next, add the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt to a large mixing bowl. Whisk together until the ingredients are completely combined. Add the berries, milk, egg, and melted butter into the dry ingredients and use a rubber spatula to fold the ingredients together until mixed. Add the batter to a freezer bag and cut the tip around 1 inch from the corner. Use the bag to pipe the batter evenly into the prepared donut pans. Bake the donuts in the preheated oven for about 8-9 minutes or until they begin to turn golden brown.  Remove the donuts from the pan and let them fully cool before adding glaze. To make your glaze, mix the cream cheese and melted butter until smooth and creamy.  Add the pureed berries, salt, and powdered sugar. Mix until combined and spread over your cooled donuts. Tips Tricks and FAQs  You may want to bring your egg and milk to room temperature before adding them to your donut batter. I’ve tried both ways and it always seems to come together better with warmer ingredients. If the milk and egg are too cold from the fridge they may solidify the melted butter and give you a lumpy batter.  If you want a smoother frosting, you may want to run your pureed berries through a fine-mesh sieve to get rid of any seeds or chunks. It’s great either way, but the presentation is a bit nicer with a smooth creamy glaze. If you want a donut topping on this, consider using freeze-dried strawberries. They look so beautiful on this donut and give it a little texture too. You could also use sprinkle, sanding sugar, or a melted chocolate drizzle.  Storage Store these donuts at room temperature for up to 3 days in an airtight container. You may want to store the glaze in the fridge and add it on as you serve your leftover donuts to keep everything perfectly fresh. "
