Apple Cake
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cup apples, coarsely chopped
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup melted butter or margarine
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon all spice
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix apples and sugar together and set aside about 10 minutes: Add melted butter or margarine and egg Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. then add to apple mixture. Add raisins and chopped nuts Bake at 350 degrees F, for about 45 minutes in an 8 x 8 inch greased pan. Test with a toothpick.
