Drunken Chicken Marinade

Ingredients

  • 1 to 2 oz sage, more or less to taste
  • 1 to 2 oz coarse black pepper, more or less to taste
  • 1 to 3 cups hard apple cider, vodka, or mead
  • 3 ounces soy sauce or Maggi seasoning sauce
  • garlic, optional
  • cayenne pepper, optional
  • canned chiles and tomatoes, optional
  • A-1 sweet and tangy sauce, optional
  • Sriracha sauce, optional

Instructions

Combine all ingredients and pour over meat to be marinated. The estimated amount above marinates about 2 1/2 to 3 lbs of chicken. Marinate in tightly sealed dish at minimum for 1 1/2 hours to overnight.
