This is a great summer salad recipe, with lots of helpful cooking hints, and lots of ideas for add-ins and substitutions. I do put sour cream, mustard, and hard boiled eggs in my potato salad already, but I will try adding vinegar, and some of the herbs. Sounds great with a meal of ribs and baked beans!

I have to admit, some of the ingredients in this recipe are a stretch for me, but I love trying things that are different, and enhancing my culinary fare. The bottom line is the finished product looks delicious. There isn't anything in it that I don't eat, just never thought of putting pickles, for one, in potato salad. I have a feeling I'm going to love it.

Everyone knows how to make potato salad! But do they know the right kind of potatoes to use to get the best results? And do they understand why sometimes they seem to end up with mash instead of nice uniform chunks of potato? Well this great recipe will explain it all. There is even a list of extras to add a bit of variation, and a link to a recipe for Homemade Mayonnaise.
