This is exactly what my late mom made.

I love Tuna Casserole but have never been able to find a recipe that delivers all the flavors and textures that I remember from my childhood...until now. This Comforting Retro Tuna Noodle Casserole recipe is just the way I remember, with all the flavor that I so enjoyed as a child. The recipe is well written and easy to follow (love the video) and turned out to be a delicious trip down memory lane.

This was terrific, but we have an elderly relative living with us, so I have to turn all of my dishes into as 'healthy' dishes as I can. If anyone else out there has the same issues, this is what I did, and it was still delicious I used 'Heart Healthy' canned soups, and whole grain pasta. I took the (personal) liberty to use Peas Carrots, instead of only Peas. I used 2% Milk. Very important....whatever tuna you use, DON'T use Albacore tuna, since It's loaded with mercury! (you can check it out on the internet). I also added a small jar of (drained) mushrooms, just because we love them. I hope these suggestions will help anyone who has issues with their health, or with the health of their mom or dad.

Tuna casserole is one of those recipes that never gets old and is definitely one of my favorites to eat and make. I've never had it with pimentos or pearl onions before but I think Cheddar cheese goes really well with tuna...so this has to be delicious. Sliced or chopped Mushrooms and some Parmesan cheese is also another way to go.

My grandmother never made tuna casserole and this does not remind me of my mother's. She always used a white sauce she made and used no cheese. I like cheese in mine sometimes, but I would never use cream soups if I wanted to make it like Mom. One of my neighbor's used to crush Doritos on top and that was good.

Not a huge fan of tuna, but this recipe does look delicious!

My son loves tuna noodle casserole, but some of the recipes don't make enough. I will definitely use this recipe, but I won't add onions or pimentos (we are not fans of either). I'm sure this will be a keeper recipe.

My fianc asks for tuna casserole at least once a week. I've gotten tired of my old, boring recipe so this comes at a good time (he'll be asking for it again, soon-lol). I've never tried tuna casserole with shredded cheddar cheese on top. I would probably start by adding it only to one half first as i'm not sure I would enjoy it. I usually use Italian bread crumbs as a topping but I love the suggestion of panic crumbs instead. I know we love to use that as breading so I'm sure it would be good on this casserole. Thanks for sharing. This will definitely change things up a bit the next time my fianc wants tuna casserole for dinner!
