Salisbury Steak with Mushroom Gravy

If you fell in love with the Salisbury steak frozen dinner when you were younger, you'll definitely love this homemade version better. Salisbury Steak with Mushroom Gravy is a delicious dinner that has old-fashioned undertones. The steak patties are made with ground beef, breadcrumbs, and an egg. This dish wouldn't be complete, however, without the gravy. The homemade gravy is made with mushrooms and onions - much better than anything frozen. Serve over egg noodles or rice.

For me, the combination of steak and mushrooms is an absolute natural. This Salisbury Steak with Mushroom Gravy recipe combines those two ingredients perfectly, and enhances the flavor with a delicious gravy that includes ketchup and worcestershire sauce. Served over buttered egg noodles and some crispy Italian bread on the side (to sop up all that delicious gravy), this recipe is sue to be a family favorite.

This is really good. It is filling and reheats well for leftovers. Instead of noodles or rice, I like these with mashed potatoes. The gravy is so good with the potatoes. Maybe I will try noodles next time. I am not sure about the rice. Try it. You won't be disappointed.
