Ree Drummonds Salted Caramel Brownie Recipe

Ree Drummond's Salted Caramel Brownie Recipe is one of her most popular and most demanded amongst brownie lovers everywhere. This super easy brownie recipe brings together some amazing flavors with so few ingredients! Salted caramel (a homemade blend of sea salt and caramel sauce) and a box of brownie mix make this brownie recipe one of the simplest around, hands down. These are a great alternative to regular brownies and always a hit with the caramel fans out there.

Ingredients

  • 1 box dark chocolate brownie mix, plus ingredients required by directions
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 jar caramel sauce
  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven according to the package directions.

  2. Prepare an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.

  3. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions. Pour brownie mix into prepared dish. Sprinkle with 1/2 of the sea salt. Drizzle 1/2 of the caramel sauce on the top.

  4. Using a knife, gently swirl the caramel into the brownie mix.

  5. Bake according the package directions.

  6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely. Sprinkle with remaining salt and caramel sauce.

  7. Cut into squares and serve.

Are the chocolate chips mixed directly into brownie mix or sprinkled on top?

The recipe doesn't mention the chocolate chips. Use whatever amount you wish?

Sorry about that! We left that ingredient out by mistake. You can always add as many chocolate chips as you want, but we recommend 1/3 cup. Hope that helps!

What a great, easy dessert recipe! This seems like a fantastic idea for a last-minute party.

I love the pioneer woman and I saw her making these on her show but you know how it is, you watch it but never catch it again to get the recipe. When you search that site you never seem to find what you saw on the TV so I am soooo glad to find this here. I looked straight away when I saw the recipe here. Definitely going to give this a try and I like all of the instructions. Thanks!!

Um, yum!! I love anything with salted caramel in it )

What a great way to jazz up a box of brownie mix. I'm amazed how salted caramel has increased in popularity the past few years, since this was virtually unknown when I was growing up. Now it's unusual to come across unsalted caramel it seems. I'm definitely going to keep this in mind when I pop open a box of brownie mix.
