What a yummy cookie! My father made a huge variety of Christmas cookies over the years, but I don't think he ever tried anything like this. I'm definitely going to whip up a batch or two of them since they just sound scrumptious. I have a question about the recipe for the frosting. It calls for both salted butter as well as unsalted. Is this actually necessary? My instinct is just to use unsalted butter and add a pinch or two of salt if necessary.
