Easy Hashbrown Casserole

If you are looking for an easy recipe tonight, then make this unbelievably easy casserole! There are only four main ingredients in this Easy Hashbrown Casserole recipe. Feel free to use frozen hashbrowns as the recipe suggests, or to use shredded baking potatoes. A huge helping of cheese and two delightful onions are added in to create one flavorful casserole.Your family will love this delicious dish, and you’ll love it because it can be served for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It also makes a great side dish recipe for a holiday meal or the perfect bring-along dish to bring to a potluck. You can easily customize this by adding chicken for dinner or leftover ham. It's so stupidly easy to make that it might just become your new go-to side dish for any occasion. The possibilities are endless!

  • 1 (10-ounce) frozen hash browns, thawed
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 pounds shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 (10-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Easy Hashbrown Casserole


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Spray a 9 x13-inch casserole dish with cooking spray.

In a large bowl combine all ingredients until well mixed.

Spoon into prepared casserole dish and bake 45 minutes to 1 hour or until potatoes are tender and top is lightly browned.


You may substitute 4 large baking potatoes, shredded, for the hashbrowns. Increase cooking time to 1 hour and 15 minutes.
