better Than Donuts Crispy Spanish Dessert Fritters
"These crispy Spanish dessert fritters, known as tortitas crujientes con azucar, have a light crispy texture with a delicious interior, are made with basic pantry staples, and done in just 30 minutes. Serve them as a dessert or even for breakfast, next to a couple of fried eggs for a sweet & savory treat. To make the batter, I used a combination of all-purpose flour and cornstarch. You can use other types of flour besides all-purpose, such as almond flour, chickpea flour, or even oat flour. As for the liquid, I used low-fat milk, but you can also use full-fat, nonfat, or even a plant-based milk."
