"A classic royal icing recipe made with meringue powder and without egg whites. Perfect for decorating sugar cookies, making gingerbread houses, and making three-dimensional cake decorations. This royal icing recipe is what I used to decorate my gluten-free cut out cookies and my gluten-free gingerbread cookies. It can be easily thickened or thinned out to suit any type of cookie decoration you have planned. But what I love most about making meringue powder icing is that you don't have to use raw egg whites. Meringue powder is used in place of raw eggs for safety and convenience. Plus, meringue powder makes royal icing exceptionally stable, so I never have a bad batch."
