  • For the Cake
  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 4-ounce box instant vanilla pudding
  • 3/4 cup 7-Up
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 cup canola oil
  • 1 10-ounce jar maraschino cherries, drained and juice reserved
  • For the Glaze
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

Shirley Temple Cake Recipe

Instructions


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Spray a 10-inch bundt pan with nonstick cooking spray.

  3. In a medium bowl, combine all the cake ingredients, mix until combined.

  4. Pour batter into prepared bundt pan.

  5. Bake for about 45-55 minutes (until inserted toothpick comes out clean).

  6. Once it’s finished baking, while still in the pan, poke holes all over the cake using a wooden skewer.

  7. Pour cherry juice on top.

  8. Allow cake to cool completely.

  9. Meanwhile combine sugar and cream to make a glaze.

  10. Invert onto a plate and top with glaze and cherries.

It's a little unclear about the cherries. Are they not in the cake, but just as a garnish on top?
