    Basic Butter Biscuits

    Forget the stress this Christmas when deciding what to serve for Christmas dinner with these Basic Butter Biscuits. They're simple and delicious!

    Notes


    1. High altitude (3500-6500 feet): Preheat oven to 475 degrees F.

       

    2. Stir 1/4 cup all-purpose flour into baking mix.

       

    3. Bake about 11 minutes.

    Ingredients

    • 1/3 cup butter or margarine, chilled
    • 2 1/2 cups baking mix
    • 2/3 cup milk
    • butter or margarine, melted

    Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
       
    2. Cut firm butter into 1/4-inch pieces. Toss baking mix and butter pieces with fork until coated. Add milk; stir just until milk is absorbed (do not over-stir).
       
    3. Turn dough onto surface dusted with baking mix. Knead 5 times. Pat to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with 3-inch cutter.
       
    4. Place on ungreased cookie sheet with sides touching for soft sides or 2 inches apart for crispy sides.
       
    5. Bake about 9 minutes or until golden brown. Brush with melted butter.

    i am wondering what the recipe for the basic mix is used in this butter roll recipe

    I don't know if you're still interested but the "baking mix" is probably Bisquik.
