Hobo's Simple Pork Chop Bake

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 1 ounce mushrooms, chopped
  • 3 ounces grated cheese
  • juice of 2 to 3 lemons
  • 1 egg
  • flour, for coating
  • breadcrumbs, for coating

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
     
  2. Marinate the pork chops in the lemon juice for at least four hours, turning occasionally.
     
  3. Dry pork chops with a paper towel. Dip them in flour, then in the beaten egg, then press breadcrumbs all over them. Fry them for about five minutes, browning on both sides.
     
  4. Place pork chops in an earthenware dish or a small roasting tray. Sprinkle the mixed mushrooms and cheese on top and pour the lemon juice over everything.
     
  5. Bake for 30 minutes.

never heard that they carried refrigerators around . I made this and all I can say is YUCK GROSE if you like to suck on lemons you should love to ruin goodmeat

Hobo??? With mushrooms?? eggs?? lemon?? breadcrumbs?? Cheese?? I didn't know a hobo's larder was that well stocked!
