BBQ Chicken Pizza

Try BBQ Chicken Pizza for a delicious taste of the Southwest. This recipe is great for nights when you're tired of tomato-based pizzas.

Notes

Variation: Assemble your dough. Saute an onion cut into strips in some olive oil. Add mushrooms if you like them. Pour on your favorite alfredo sauce and add shredded provelone. Bake at 400 degrees F till brown. You can also blacken a chicken breast, cut it up and add it.

Ingredients

  • 1 chicken breast
  • 1 bottle BBQ sauce
  • 1 onion
  • medium chedder cheese, to taste
  • 1 package pizza dough

Instructions

  1. Assemble your dough. On a wire cookie rack over a tinfoil lined cookie sheet, cook the chicken at 350 degrees F until juices run clear.

  2. Saute onion in butter or olive oil. Cut chicken into small cubes, pour on BBQ sauce, toss on the chedder cheese, onion & chicken breast and bake at 450 degrees F for about 10 minutes, thicker dough, longer time.

Sounds pretty good. I have never tried chicken BBQ pizza before. I once worked in a pizza place that made barbecue beef pizza. What size bottle of sauce would I need? Also, I normally make my own sauce and an amount would be helpful. The mushroom, Alfredo sauce variation sounds great too. No amount of sauce is listed in the variation either.
