Angel Hair Pasta

What's better than classic Italian flavors in their simplest and purest forms? Try this easy Italian recipe for a guaranteed dinnertime success!

Ingredients
  • 3/4 pound capellini or angel hair pasta
  • 1 large can (16 oz) Furmano's or Hunts whole tomatoes, crushed
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • Extra Virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons crushed basil leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Imported Romano Cheese
Instructions
  1. Cover the bottom of a medium saucepan with olive oil approximately 1/4 inch.
     
  2. Saute chopped onion, basil and oregano until onion is light golden brown.
     
  3. Add garlic and saute a minute or two, do not let garlic brown.
     
  4. Add crushed tomatoes, salt and pepper, and simmer 20-30 minutes until flavors cook through.
     
  5. Cook pasta according to package directions.
     
  6. Serve with fresh grated Romano.
