I was such a big fan of Hamburger Helper during my college days, so I am an even bigger fan of this easy Homemade Hamburger Helper now. Love the idea of being able to re-create that boxed version into a much healthier, fresh ingredient, meal for my family. The recipe is easy to follow and versatile to your personal preferences. This has quickly become a go to dinner recipe for me.

I made this for dinner last night, and I was surprised at how good this was. It tastes so much better than the box stuff. I love that I know exactly what is in it. I did use fresh spinach, because that is what I had on hand. The kids didn't even know it was in there. We will definitely be having this again.

This would be way better than the box mix. I love the idea of mixing it up with different spices or vegetables. I was surprised to see spinach in this recipe. You don't see that in the box mix!

I love home style hamburger helper. You can change it up so much by varying the spices or the liquid you use. I find that if it is too liquidy after cooking the pasta covered, uncover it and let it cook down for a few minutes to thicken before finishing it up. Works like a charm.

This is definitely better that the box Hamburger Helper. All the ingredients sound wonderful and easy to throw together for a quick meal on a cool day. I would try a different pasta, like the twists instead of the elbow. Hamburger helper is a big favorite of most kids, so if you have a family, this would be a cheap and delicious meal for all...Serve with a nice toss salad or some fresh french bread..Enjoy.

What a quick, super easy one pot pasta meal with only a few ingredients required! I can imagine using this recipe as a starting point and making a few changes for personal taste. Instead of spinach, peas could be added. Sliced mushrooms would also be a welcome addition.
