Cheese to me is a comfort food. I am very intrigued to read over the description and find that beer is one of the ingredients and flavors in this cheese soup. This soup can be made in 30 minutes? I am happy to find this. I cant wait to pair this with some of my favorite breads to dip into this.

Although there is some onion and carrot in the soup for flavor, I love that the cheesy broth is the real focal point here - no big chunks of broccoli or potatoes. Serve it with some good bread from the bakery and it is like fondue night! I used a locally brewed Founders IPA (lower alcohol content) and it was fabulous!

This 30-Minute Cheesy German Soup is just fun, and absolutely delicious. It's easy to prepare, and it has beer in it...those Germans really know how to cook. The soup is thick and creamy and full of flavor. I served it with pumpernickel bread. This soup is a perfect comfort food meal on a cold wintry night.

Going to make this tonight. It's the kind of comfort food I need when it's chilly out.
