Oh, how do you make summer better? With homemade lemonade ice cream. I have a hankering for lemonade now. I want to try this ice cream, so I don't care that it is in the middle of fall. I will get the stuff and make it this weekend to see if it is as good as it sounds.

I like to keep a big bottle of lemon and lime juice on hand for making homemade lemonade for the kids, since I don't really care for the powdered lemonade mix. There really isn't a lot of actual lemon in that stuff - mostly just citric and ascorbic acid. I think I will try this recipe using a slurry or syrup made from lemon juice and sugar! It looks wonderfully refreshing!
