Have you ever heard of a dessert dumpling made with Mountain Dew? It sounds crazy, we know, but these Easy Apple Dumplings have an unforgettable flavor that say otherwise. Made with cinnamon and sugar, and baked until they are golden brown, you have to try them with vanilla ice cream to get the full experience. Enjoy!

I made these for a luncheon at work! I took two 13x9 pans full of dumplings and you'd have thought I was the discoverer of something NEW and Different to my co-workers! they talked about how good these apple dumpling were for a week !!! I'm making a different version of these for another luncheon next week !!! with a slightly different glaze and filling !!!

For those having trouble getting the recipe, this one was given to me by my Step-Daughter's Grandmother. I modified it for my use (I'm a diabetic) by using Sprite Zero and Splenda .... Here's her original recipe: (Full Recipe serves 16 1 dumpling per person) 2 Cans Pillsbury Crescent Rolls 2 Apples, Peeled and cored, cut into 8 wedges (I used a honey crisp or fuji apple, but any good baking apple will work.) 1 sticks of butter or margarine 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 cups of sugar 12-oz. can of Mountain Dew Wrap each apple piece in triangle of crescent roll. Space within a 9x13 baking dish. Melt butter in sauce pan, add sugar and cinnamon and bring to a boil. Spoon butter mixture over each dumpling roll. Pour Mountain Dew over all. BAKE at 350F for 35 to 40 minutes. Serve warm. Great with iced milk, vanilla ice cream or frozen vanilla yogurt.

I made these 2 days ago for my cafe. They were easy and delish! my customers had them for dessert, took some home and came back the next day for more! I will make them often. thank for a great dessert!

Cannot get to the recipe. Page comes up as an attack page.

I've posted the recipe for those who have had trouble getting it. It may or may not be the exact recipe provided by RecipeLion, but it will be close. ENJOY!

Cannot get the recipe for "The Best Apple Dumplings"

southerngirl41: The author of the recipe can be found by clicking the link. She can probably give you the best information regarding ounces. My best guess is that the recipe requires a 12-ounce can.

Need to give the ounces of the Mountain Dew to be used in this Apple Dumpling recipe.
