Desserts you can make ahead are the best, aren't they? I love that your recipe includes vanilla and chocolate pudding. Many of these recipes only call for one or the other, but I think the dessert is much richer with both in it. The combination of puddings with the whipped cream is amazing.

Pecan nuts are quite costly here in South Africa so we used biscuit crumbs for the crust and it worked perfectly. And then we did not have any vanilla pudding so used chocolate for both layers and, oh! my! word! was it delicious or WHAT! Absolutely decadent would probably describe it better, lol! This recipe has been saved to the Absolutely Definitely to be Made Again Soon file. It really is that good.

With a name like that it had better be good. I'm not a big fan of nuts, though, so I wonder if you can substitute a regular graham crust or leave them out of the recipe. It sounds so rich with the two types of pudding, cream cheese and Cool Whip - delish!

Susan - I've made this recipe numerous, numerous times - you can tweak it any way you like. It doesn't hurt to leave the nuts out (my mother has an allergy to them and I leave it out of hers). Also, you can use (one or two) any kind of pudding you like - lemon is also very good by itself or if you're a chocoholic, use all chocolate. Shortcuts - if you don't want to make your own crust, use a store bought graham cracker crust, OR a package of sugar cookie dough. Hope this helps!
