Country Dessert Dumplings

Served warm or cold with a healthy dollop of whipped cream or ice cream, Country Dessert Dumplings will become a family favorite treat. With a blueberries and plum sauce, it's a wonderfully fruity dish that is perfect any time of year. You're not going to want to miss desert tonight. Treat your family to only the best dessert recipes.

Ingredients
  • For the Dumplings:
  • 1 pound Ricotta cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter or extra virgin coconut oil
  • 4 tablespoons natural maple syrup
  • For the Sauce:
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup deseeded and cut plums
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons natural maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup to one cup of water
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions

For the Sauce:

  1. Take all sauce ingredients with ½ cup of water, place in large saucepan and simmer for 10 minutes or until it becomes thick sauce.
  2. For the Dumplings:
  3. Mix well all dumpling dough ingredients.
  4. When sauce is thickened, start adding dumplings to hot sauce with ice cream scoop. If sauce is too thick, dilute it with a little bit of water.
  5. Cook for 5-7 minutes or until puffed and beautiful.
  6. Serve warm or cold with healthy dollop of whipped cream or ice cream. Enjoy!
