  • 1 (10.5-ounce) can French Onion Soup
  • 1 cup croutons
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

I may be asking a stupid question, but would I be assuming correctly to think that this recipe, as written, would serve 2 people?

is the soup undiluted condensed or reconstituted

This recipe looks like it would be very easy to make and very tasty too. It would be fun to make French Onion Soup and add some cooked chicken to the soup as a variation on traditional soup. I do like the idea of a one skillet dinner though and I would really like to try this dish soon! I have some sourdough bread that would make excellent croutons! Just need to stop at the store for some French Onion soup and some Swiss Cheese! I think this would be a hit with the hubby too. I wonder how it would taste with stew beef? Since the broth for French Onion soup usually is beef based, it might make a really good skillet beef dish as well.

Because chicken is one of those meats that we can still afford, I like to find new ways to serve it to my family. This recipe sounds like one of those that will cook up in a jiffy. I have some stale bread that I can use to make my own croutons and create this meal this week.

I do not remember ever having french onion soup but I sure do love french onion dip and if the two are any similar this recipe will be to die for. I love quick and easy and this recipe sounds like it is just that and if the taste is right, here is one for the recipe box.

I love easy to make, quick and simple recipes so I'm loving this one. It looks really delicious. I love French Onion soup and add croutons and I'm in heaven. I may swop the swiss cheese for something like gouda but I don't think that is going to detract from the taste at all.

Oh my goodness, I can't wait to try this recipe...French onion soup has always been my favorite and what a clever idea to add the chicken for a more hearty meal. I was also thinking of maybe topping this deliciousness with some crispy fried onions for a little crunch and texture, and perhaps some chives for color. Yum!

Simple and delicious, what could possibly be better than that for a week night family dinner after a day of working at the office? This was so ridiculously easy to make that I kept checking in case I had forgotten to do something, lol. And, best of all, with some fresh roasted garden veg, it is a meal that we all really enjoyed.

Thank you for actually trying the recipe before rating it.

If you love French Onion Soup as much as I do, you will love this French Onion Chicken Skillet. It has all the rich flavors of French onion soup, with the extra bonus of tender juicy chicken. I love recipes that I call "one pot wonders" so easy on the clean up. When you want a flavorful, quick and easy weeknight dinner for your family, this is the recipe to choose. Serves with a nice green salad, and your good to go.

I'm getting hungry just looking at this! And I pretty much already have all of the ingredients, so I might make it for dinner tonight )
