Easy Basic Vinaigrette

This easy basic vinaigrette recipe can be the base for many other salad dressing recipes. Switch out the herbs and seasonings for your favorites to make this dressing your own.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup oil (your choice)
  • 1/3 cup vinegar (balsamic, red wine, or white wine)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 clove garlic, put through a press
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender or in a bowl with a wire whisk.

    Makes about 1 1/3 cups.
