    Black Bean Hummus

    This special variation on hummus calls for black beans instead of the traditional garbanzo beans. This delicious appetizer takes a hint of Mexican flavors with the cilantro in the mix.

    Ingredients

    • 1 can black beans (16oz), drained and rinsed
    • 1/4 cup tahini
    • 2 handfuls cilantro
    • 2 cloves garlic
    • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
    • 1 lime

    Instructions

    1. Combine beans, tahini, cilantro, garlic, cumin and juice of the lime in a food processor. Process until smooth.
       
    2. Serve with pita bread and tortilla chips for dipping.
