I love Cracker Barrel's cinnamon apples! I can't wait to try this recipe at home!

Bacon and apples are definitely two ingredients I'd never think to put together in one dish, but I'm guessing this is a very indulgent tasting dessert. I imagine having this over a piping hot biscuit fresh out of the oven and I agree with Seth, vanilla ice cream would be the perfect compliment to this deliciousness!

I have never heard of frying apples before and in bacon fat too?? It sounded so interesting that we had this for dessert yesterday evening. Absolutely totally completely heavenly! The tastes of the cinnamon and nutmeg come through and flavor the apple beautifully and a spoon of gorgeous vanilla ice cream was a great accompaniment.

I haven't tried these Just Like Cracker Barrel Fried Apples but looking at the recipe, I know they will be popular to both adults and kids alike. I would like to try this recipe if only to actually experience frying apples. Of course the cinnamon is always present. I cannot imagine an apple recipe without cinnamon like this one. Let's go and try this one, mommies! Cheers.

I finally know the secret to the amazingly delicious Cracker Barrel fried apples- bacon fat! Very surprising! But all of the other ingredients are pretty standard besides that one. I wonder does Cracker Barrel actually use bacon fat in their ingredient list for this recipe? Because if so, they should label it so vegetarian and vegan customers know not to order the fried apples.

I had no idea that those apples were made with bacon fat. However, I do plan on making them in the near future. The brown sugar and lemon plus the cinnamon (not a fan of nutmeg) will make these a hit for sure.
