Shortcut Almond Joy Cake

Get all the flavor of your favorite candy bar in the form of a delicious cake with this recipe for Shortcut Almond Joy Cake! Using coconut, almonds, marshmallow and chocolate cake mix, you can bake up a treat that will have everyone at the table feeling nostalgic for their childhood. Of all the chocolate cake mix recipes we've seen, this has to be one of our favorites!

  • 1 package chocolate cake mix with pudding
  • 1 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 24 large marshmallows
  • 1 package coconut (14-oz)
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 12 ounces chocolate chips
  • 1 cup almond slices, toasted
  1. Bake chocolate cake as directed on package.
  2. Combine in medium saucepan 1 cup evaporated milk and 1 cup sugar. Bring to a boil and stir in marshmallow until melted. Add 1 package coconut and stir.
  3. Pour mixture over cake while both are hot.
  4. Melt together the remaining milk, butter and chocolate chips. Stir until melted and add 1 cup toasted almond slices. Pour on top of warm cake.


Note: This cake is best if made the day before serving.
