Festive Christmas Meatballs


Have a holly jolly Christmas party with these Festive Christmas Meatballs! This simple meatball recipe would make a great appetizer at any of your holiday festivities.

Yields: 100

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup potato, peeled and grated
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • salt, to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 bottle (13-ounces) Heinz Chili Sauce
  • 1 jar (5-ounces) grape jelly
  • dash Worcestershire sauce
  1. Combine first 4 ingredients in large bowl and mix well. Season with salt and pepper. Form into small meatballs.
  2. Brown meatballs, a few at a time, in hot skillet. If meat is very lean, wipe skillet with a thin film of olive oil.
  3. Blend remaining ingredients in large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs. Cover and simmer about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Transfer meatballs to chafing dish or fondue pot. Skim excess fat from sauce. Pour sauce over meatballs. Serve warm.
