Apple Drop Scones with Cinnamon Butter


  • 4 ounces butter
  • 2 ounces granulated sugar
  • 2 ounces brown sugar
  • 4 tsps cinnamon
  • 1 c flour
  • dash flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 ounce melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 small tart apple


To make the cinnamon butter, beat the first four ingredients together until smooth. Cover and refrigerate. For the scones: Mix together dry ingredients and make a well in the center. In a seperate bowl, beat the wet ingredients together and pour into well in dry ingredients. Mix until smooth. Grate in the apple. Cook as you would pancakes. Serve with the butter.
