Herbed Turkey Gravy

Break out this gravy recipe for your next Thanksgiving feast! Herbed Turkey Gravy is delicious and full of fantastic flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium clove garlic, minced
  • 2 cups turkey or chicken broth, divided
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 cup apple juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup evaporated skim milk
  • 1 teaspoon Kitchen Bouquet
  • 1 teaspoon freshly minced rosemary
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme, crushed
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon turkey drippings

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized pan set over medium heat, cook onion and garlic in 3 tablespoons of the broth 4 minutes.
     
  2. Add the flour and stir 1 minute.
     
  3. Add a little of the broth, bringing to a boil to smooth out the flour.
     
  4. Add remaining broth, apple juice, lemon juice, evaporated milk, Kitchen Bouquet, rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper.
     
  5. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer 7-10 minutes, until thickened. Stir often.
     
  6. Whisk in the turkey drippings if using and keep warm.
