Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup self rising flour
  • 1 cup plain sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 can (large) peach slices in heavy syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
     
  2. Slice the butter and make dots around the edges and bottom of an 8x11-inch pan.
     
  3. Mix the flour and sugar in a medium mixing bowl. Add the milk slowly while stirring gently so there are no lumps. Pour into the pan on top of the butter.
     
  4. Open the can of peaches and pour it into the pan. Do not stir.
     
  5. Bake for about 50 minutes, until the top turns golden.
     
  6. Serve warm with ice cream.
