Apples and Cinnamon Pie

Celebrate the seasons with this delicious Apples and Cinnamon Pie. Friends and family will rave about this easy apple pie recipe and ask for more.

Preparation Time45 min

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 medium apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1 unbaked pie shell
  • pie pastry (see below)

Instructions

  1. Preheated oven to 450 degrees F.
     
  2. Blend flour in to melted butter.
     
  3. Add sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and apples.
     
  4. Pour in to pie shell.
     
  5. Top with pie pastry.
     
  6. Bake in oven for 15 minutes.
     
  7. Reduce heat to 300 and bake 25 minutes longer.

Pie Pastry

2 cups all purpose flour

3/4 teaspoon salt

2/3 cup Crisco

1/3 cup ice water

Instructions

  1. Mix together flour and salt.
     
  2. Blend in Crisco.
     
  3. Work in ice water.
     
  4. Roll out and place over top of pie.
