- 4 tablespoons garlic
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 56 oz.s canned tomatoes, preferably whole
- 1/4 cup firmly packed basil leaves
Saute garlic in olive oil until soft. Strain tomatoes through a sieve to remove liquid, reserve liquid. Add tomatoes and basil to garlic, cook for 10 minutes. If too thick, add a bit of tomato liquid.
